- Lovingly opposing the homosexual agenda...

Three fundamental concerns are driving the formation of the new citizens organization:

I. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on all businesses and property owners, with a particularly negative impact on faith- based and faith-inspired businesses and property owners.

II. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on every citizen's constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly.

III. The negative impact of the practice of homosexuality on the individuals who practice it and on the rest of the society.

The main multifaceted emphasis of the group is to defend Traditional Marriage as 'between one man and one woman', to respond to the controversy at the University of Notre Dame regarding homosexual activism at several levels, to respond to 'special rights for homosexuals' ordinances as they come forward in the Region and to facilitate help and ministry for those suffering from the ill effects of the homosexual lifestyle.

Urgent Update on Homosexual & GLBT Special Rights Ordinance Schedule Changes

May 9,2006

Councilwoman Charlotte Pfiefer and I spoke today in response to my public request for equal time and she informed me of the following schedule and changes:

During the Personnel & Finance Committee Meeting tomorrow Wednesday, May 10 ,2006 from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. at the 4th Floor of the County City Building in South Bend the schedule will be as follows;

NoSpecialRights.Net Presentation -- 4:00 to 5:00 South Bend Equality Presentation -- 5:00 to 6:00

Another Meeting of the Personnel & Finance Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from 5:00 to 6:30p.m. Public Comment for and against will each be given 45 minutes.

The final vote of the South Bend Common Council has been rescheduled to June 26, 2006 from May 22, 2006. This will allow the entire Council to be present for the vote. That means that calls, letters and emails to the entire Council and Mayor Steve Luecke are more vital than ever.

Don't forget to print out the Petition, make copies and pass it around for signatures. Please turn in your petitions weekly so that we can process them as they come in. Don't forget to take them to your Pastor for distribution at or after church services. Also please remember to come to all meetings early to get a seat and pray.

As you may already know from the meeting last night or from the newspaper, the Mayor has projected his views uncharacteristically early into the debate. From the comments he made at the meeting, he has apparently accepted the highly suspect and controversial allegations of discrimination against major employers in our area as true even though no proof has been advanced to substantiate claims made. It is obvious that the Mayor has aligned himself with Charlotte Pfiefer the sponsor of the proposed changes and Rolland Kelly the Cosponsor of the proposed changes elevating homosexuals & GLBTs to a special status. The City Attorney Chuck Leone called out to Dr. Sergio after the Meeting and compared the passage of this special rights for homosexuals ordinance to the Civil Rights struggle of African Americans in Selma Alabama!? So much for calm speech and judicial thought from this administration . . .

This will be a long and difficult effort but for our love for the Lord, for the community, for common sense and for those trapped in the deadly homosexual / GLBT lifestyle we must fervently and lovingly oppose the homosexual agenda no matter who opposes us . . . If God is for us who can be against us?
