- Lovingly opposing the homosexual agenda...

Three fundamental concerns are driving the formation of the new citizens organization:

I. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on all businesses and property owners, with a particularly negative impact on faith- based and faith-inspired businesses and property owners.

II. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on every citizen's constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly.

III. The negative impact of the practice of homosexuality on the individuals who practice it and on the rest of the society.

The main multifaceted emphasis of the group is to defend Traditional Marriage as 'between one man and one woman', to respond to the controversy at the University of Notre Dame regarding homosexual activism at several levels, to respond to 'special rights for homosexuals' ordinances as they come forward in the Region and to facilitate help and ministry for those suffering from the ill effects of the homosexual lifestyle.

NoSpecialRights.Net Action Alert

July 19, 2006

Mayor Steve Luecke announced publicly that he was prepared to sign an Executive Order binding the City to the provisions of the Ordinance that were voted down by the majority of the Common Council Members. Unfortunately the 4 members of the Council who voted for the special rights ordinance (Bill # 29-06) have emboldened both the Mayor and the homosexual activists in their aggressiveness to try to supercede the will of the people. Can you imagine the cost of retrofitting the City County Building with transgendered bathrooms? or the forcing of all City employees to accept homosexual sex acts as normal?

Those Council Members voting in favor of special status and therefore special rights for homosexuals were:

Charlotte Pfeifer (D)
Roland Kelly (D)
Ann Puzzello (D)
Al 'Buddy' Kersits (D)

Those who opposed the ordinance promoting homosexuality were:

Rev. Tim Rouse (D)
Karen White (D)
Erv Kuspa (D)
Dr. David Varner (R)
Derek Dieter (D)

Confidential sources inside the administration tell us that there is much opposition to the Mayor's issuing an Executive Order but that one is eminent just the same. As this move will be held in contempt by the voters who overwhelmingly support traditional family values and as they are sure to remember each Council Member's vote as well as the Mayor's high profile early support for this proposed city ordinance favoring homosexuals, it is now necessary to call and fax the Mayor's office directly and to respectfully but forcefully urge him to abandon this provocative course of action. Tell him not to issue an Executive Order based on Bill # 29-06 promoting homosexuality.

The Mayor's Office # is: 235-9261 and his fax # is 235-9892.

His full contact information as well as the South Bend Common Council's contact information is available on the NoSpecialRights.Net website.

Homosexual Activist Catherine Pittman has vowed to continue promoting this controversial and divisive legislation to the Council. I believe that our fellow citizens are prepared to lovingly oppose every form of the destructive and dangerous homosexual agenda anywhere and everywhere it attacks the bedrock values of our community.

Will you join me and help protect Michiana families from the harms and dangers of the homosexual agenda? Please Call the Mayor's office today and help our local government get back to the people's business and stop trying to reengineer the structure of the family at the taxpayers' expense.

In Him,

Patrick Mangan
