- Lovingly opposing the homosexual agenda...

Three fundamental concerns are driving the formation of the new citizens organization:

I. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on all businesses and property owners, with a particularly negative impact on faith- based and faith-inspired businesses and property owners.

II. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on every citizen's constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly.

III. The negative impact of the practice of homosexuality on the individuals who practice it and on the rest of the society.

The main multifaceted emphasis of the group is to defend Traditional Marriage as 'between one man and one woman', to respond to the controversy at the University of Notre Dame regarding homosexual activism at several levels, to respond to 'special rights for homosexuals' ordinances as they come forward in the Region and to facilitate help and ministry for those suffering from the ill effects of the homosexual lifestyle.

The latest from the GLBT Agenda . . . AP: Transgendereds Want State-Funded Sex Change Surgeries

August 23, 2006

Last week the polygamists made news in Utah seeking special rights. This week Trangendered inmates are pushing for state-funded sex change surgies according to an AP Report in Boston. Is there no end to where this campaign for special rights is leading in public policy?! Once again those who voted not to recognize 'sexual orientation' or 'gender identity' as the basis of a protected class were right.

This whole notion of redefining the meaning of gender is social experimentation of the most outrageous kind. Who is left with the bill? Always the taxpayers!!!! The newspaper can run as many op-ed pieces as it wants to in order to support the GLBT agenda, but the citizens will not be fooled. GLBT activists can come to every Council Meeting and attempt to pronounce shame on the Council Members who voted no, but the shame rests with those who advocate the GLBT Agenda which continues to become more and more bizarre.

Those who are advocating changes in the law to give special rights to people groups based on their sexual preferences and practices are no friends of the taxpayers. The potential legal liabilities of attempting to create additional gender classifications in the law have serious budgetary consequences. The changes are unwarranted and the expenditures are unreasonable.

Please Read the Article from the AP published by USA Today below to check out the facts for yourself. The 5 Voices of Reason on the Council deserve the community's thanks and support not angry insults from activists. Council Members Rouse, White, Dieter, Varner and Kuspa have the thanks of a grateful community. We remain lovingly opposed to the Homosexual/ GLBT Agenda in all of it's forms.
