Three fundamental concerns are driving the formation of the new citizens organization:
I. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on all businesses and property owners, with a particularly negative impact on faith- based and faith-inspired businesses and property owners.
II. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on every citizen's constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly.
III. The negative impact of the practice of homosexuality on the individuals who practice it and on the rest of the society.
The main multifaceted emphasis of the group is to defend Traditional Marriage as 'between one man and one woman', to respond to the controversy at the University of Notre Dame regarding homosexual activism at several levels, to respond to 'special rights for homosexuals' ordinances as they come forward in the Region and to facilitate help and ministry for those suffering from the ill effects of the homosexual lifestyle.
A Special Message from Patrick ManganThank you for visiting the NoSpecialRights.Net website to "Lovingly Oppose the Homosexual Agenda" in your community. I am writing to ask you do take three more specific actions right away to help:
1) Please sign and return our NoSpecialRights.Net Petition to restore the heart and soul of Notre Dame. Please help us rescue Notre Dame from the Institutionalized Homosexual Agenda there. We are organizing a response from thousands of individuals who want to see an end to the Gay Film Festival, the Vagina Monologues, the liberal counsel of the University Counseling Center that homosexuality is normal, and University recognized events like Coming Out Day, Solidarity Sunday and Network Training.
2) Please pray for NoSpecialRights.Net Leaders, a group of Notre Dame graduates who have challenged Notre Dame's leadership to return to its founding vision and repent of promoting homosexuality as normal rather than opposing it as sin.
3) Please make a generous contribution to NoSpecialRights.Net today to help us stand up to the wealth, power and influence of one of the best-known universities in the world so that we can help restore it to its moral and biblical foundations.
If you are looking for more information, check out the rest of our Website at www.nospecialrights.net. Read about the University President's defiance of the local Bishop who has informed Notre Dame that its actions constitute a violation of academic freedom. Write to University leaders and let them know what you think about the University's recent actions. Tell them you want ND President John Jenkins to step down for bringing sexual and theological confusion to the young people of Notre Dame. Thank the local Bishop John D'Arcy for calling Notre Dame back to its founding vision. Call on University of Notre Dame Board of Trustees Chairman Patrick McCartan to take action before another young man or young woman is lost to the degrading behavior of the Homosexual & GLBT subculture. Also check out www.projectsycamore.com to see why other Notre Dame voices are opposing the Vagina Monologues and the Gay Film Festival at Notre Dame.
At a recent gathering of profamily leaders in Washington D.C. Bill Bennett the former Secretary of Education during the Reagan Administration was asked about the homosexual agenda being promoted at Notre Dame. As a Catholic Christian, Bennett asked the question, "Is there no Priest in charge at Notre Dame?!" When the ND alumnus who asked the question answered, "Fr. John Jenkins", Bennett responded, "Well he's not doing his job!"
Bennett's advice to those fighting for the heart and soul of Notre Dame: "Remind them (Notre Dame's leaders) of their heritage."
That is exactly what NoSpecialRights.Net has been organized to do. We want to restore the dignity, holiness and purity of the university named after the Mother of Jesus. Thank you for standing with us. With your help now, we can rescue one of the great Catholic universities from the coup of liberal professors who reportedly threatened Jenkins with resignations if he did away with the lewd manifestations of the homosexual agenda there. Many Alumni and Professors believe that Jenkins should have called their bluff and showed them the door. If he is unable to stand up to these errant educators, then he does not deserve the honor of leading such a storied University.
From our family to yours, please send your Petition back today with your prayers. Let's help Notre Dame to shine with the light of Christ once more and reclaim colleges and universities everywhere from the terrible effects of sexual addiction and sexual confusion!
