NoSpecialRights.net - Lovingly opposing the homosexual agenda...

Three fundamental concerns are driving the formation of the new citizens organization:

I. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on all businesses and property owners, with a particularly negative impact on faith- based and faith-inspired businesses and property owners.

II. The negative impact of special rights initiatives on every citizen's constitutionally protected rights to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly.

III. The negative impact of the practice of homosexuality on the individuals who practice it and on the rest of the society.

The main multifaceted emphasis of the group is to defend Traditional Marriage as 'between one man and one woman', to respond to the controversy at the University of Notre Dame regarding homosexual activism at several levels, to respond to 'special rights for homosexuals' ordinances as they come forward in the Region and to facilitate help and ministry for those suffering from the ill effects of the homosexual lifestyle.

Ford sales continue downhill slide over homosexual support

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the South Bend Common Council,

To the five of you who joined us in lovingly opposing the homosexual agenda, I commend you.
To the four of you who supported the controversial proposed ordinance last summer, I urge you to reconsider.

The following email summarizes the negative reception the public has shown to Ford for entering the culture war to support the homosexual agenda. Contrary to the propaganda promoted by GLBT activists, supporting the homosexual agenda is not only not 'good for business', but is actually bad for business. One can only conclude that the response would be even more pronounced in our community in the profamily heartland of America. Recent comments in the media by one of the Council Members suggests that some are considering raising the issue of a special rights for homosexuals ordinance in South Bend again. Now that this issue is even better known to the citizens of our community and they are familiar with the legal, economic, psychological, medical and biological harms associated with the GLBT lifestyle there will be even stronger opposition to any attempts to promote the homosexual agenda in Michiana.

Many community leaders were stunned by Mayor Steve Luecke and South Bend City Attorney Chuck Leone's public support for the controversial measure put before the Council last year. Some have characterized it as 'fiddling while Rome burns' as we have lost key community businesses while the Mayor and City Attorney joined with sexual revolutionaries to crusade for the radical homosexual agenda. Others were stunned by the homosexual activists public attacks on high profile community employers like Memorial Hospital, Martin's Supermarkets, and Wal-Mart that were included in the alleged charges of discrimination that they filed with the Council. Still others were shocked at long time Councilman Rolland Kelly's support and co-sponsorship of the contentious bill. (Best wishes to Councilman Kelly in his retirement and many thanks for his support for the citizen led battle against the porn sex industry in South Bend in the past!)

If it does come up again, profamily citizens, faith, business and civil rights leaders as well as former homosexuals will again speak articulately to the issue of why we must lovingly oppose the homosexual agenda for the sake of our care for the practicing homosexuals themselves as well as for the public health, safety, and economic issues impacting the community.

Any attempt to confer "special status" or "special rights" on individuals practicing homosexuality will be opposed. Any attempt to force citizens, employers or school children to accept homosexuality as "normal", "healthy", or "desirable" will be opposed. Any attempts to punish citizens, employers or school children for disagreeing with homosexual activists over the moral, ethical or spiritual implications of homosexuality will be opposed. Any of the above mentioned actions by the Council in support of the homosexual agenda would in fact create violations to the first amendment rights of all citizens to freedom of expression. No group has the right to not be disagreed with. The tyranny on everyone created by legally recognizing the concepts of "gender identity" much less "perceived gender identity" is unacceptable and intolerable in a free society.

As informative as an election year public discussion of this issue might be, I urge you not to raise this divisive issue again.

Sincerely,

Patrick Mangan

Ford sales continue downhill slide over homosexual support

Dear Patrick,

Just a short note to let you know that Ford Motor Company sales for March were down 9%. During 10 of the 12 months since the AFA boycott of Ford began, sales have been down.

AFA called for the boycott of Ford because of Ford's support for the homosexual agenda and homosexual marriage. The company reneged on a commitment to AFA to stop giving money to homosexual organizations and to stop supporting homosexual publications with advertising. Chairman Bill Ford chose to support homosexual groups rather than his own employees.

In reference to their support for the homosexual agenda, Coleen Rose Coventry at the Ford Customer Relationship Center said this: "This is a strong commitment we intend to carry forward with no exception."

All AFA is asking Ford to do is to remain neutral in the culture wars. So far Ford has refused to do so.

If you haven't already done so, click here to sign the Boycott Ford Pledge. For more information on the boycott, click here.

Ford sales for the past year (compared to the same month the year before):

Take Action

If you think our efforts are worthy, would you please support us with a small gift? Thank you for caring enough to get involved.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association
